Effective exercises for the prevention of prostatitis

A common cause of prostatitis is blood stasis in the tissues of the genitourinary system as a result of a sedentary lifestyle. Due to the deterioration of blood circulation, the supply of oxygen to tissues, including glandular ones, decreases, which leads to the occurrence of inflammatory processes.

Exercise for the prevention of prostatitis in men, if done regularly, helps to avoid stagnation, saturate the tissue with oxygen and prevent the development of prostate diseases. So, what exercises and how to do? We offer our recommendations.

What exercises are effective

When developing a set of preventive exercises, they never do without Kegel gymnastics, which is aimed at strengthening the muscles of the perineum.

To understand which muscles need to be strengthened is simple: it is enough to hold the stream once during urination. Just those muscles that need training will be tensed.

The advantage of exercises for the prevention of prostatitis according to Kegel is accessibility.

They begin exercises for the prevention of prostatitis in men with the simplest thing - urinary retention. It is recommended to start one process of urination to interrupt 10 times, delaying the stream for several seconds (about 4 seconds) and gradually releasing.

Too long delays in the prevention of prostatitis should not be done, this can lead to excessive discomfort during the exercise, which is not useful. In the early days, the exercise is repeated 5 times a day, then gradually increase to 15 workouts.

If the initial load causes unpleasant sensations, the number of interruptions should be reduced to 5-6 times, then, as the muscles get used to the load, increase again and bring to the recommended amount.

An equally effective exercise for the prevention of prostatitis in men is the compression of the muscles of the anus with their subsequent relaxation. You need to start with 15 compressions in 1 approach, the compression duration is 7 seconds.

Over the years of studying the disease, approaches to the prevention of prostatitis, other exercises have also been developed - from a standing, sitting, lying position. Let's consider different options.

About the disease

Most often, the cause of inflammatory processes in prostatic tissues is congestion in the tissues of the male gland, which provoke disturbances in blood supply and oxygen saturation, which makes the prostate tissue suffer from hypoxia, and their functioning is impaired. As a result, patients develop prostatitis. Sometimes pathology is caused by bacterial infections.

Regardless of the triggering factors, prostatic inflammation is always accompanied by a mass of unpleasant symptomatic manifestations such as frequent urination and pain, erectile disorders and irritability, sleep disturbances, etc.

If prevention is avoided, and the existing symptoms are ignored and not treated, then the pathology will reach a chronic state, having settled in the patient's life forever. To avoid the development of prostatic inflammation, patients at risk of developing prostatitis are recommended to follow the principles of pathology prevention. In addition, you need to perform a set of special exercises for the prevention of prostatitis, which stimulate blood flow and prevent stagnation.

General principles for the prevention of prostatitis

Preventive measures against prostatitis are divided into primary and secondary. Primary prevention is aimed at preventing inflammatory lesions of the prostate.

  • HLS. Refusal from alcohol and cigarettes, a balanced diet - all this significantly reduces the chances for the development of the disease.
  • Genital infections. Inflammatory and infectious lesions in the reproductive system often lead to pathologies of the gland. Therefore, the prevention of genital infections and avoids inflammation of the prostate. Therefore, men are recommended to have constant sexual relations with one partner. Erratic relationships and prolonged abstinence must be avoided, otherwise prostatic problems will become the patient's norm.
  • Help prevent the development of prostatitis and exercise for the prostate. They support the tone of muscle tissue in the reproductive system. No need to spend a lot of time, 20 minutes a day is enough. Moderate exercise will help improve blood circulation and reduce congestion. Such exercises are especially important for patients with a sedentary, sedentary lifestyle.

Secondary preventive measures are taken when the patient has already had to deal with inflammation in the prostate. The purpose of secondary prevention is to prevent exacerbation of prostatitis or to prevent its chronicity.

The benefits of gymnastics

As already mentioned, prostatic inflammation develops mainly against the background of blood stasis and hypoxia of glandular tissues. If a man daily performs any physical activity, then the oxygen supply of tissues improves markedly. So, gymnastics with prostatic diseases is very useful. Performing exercises accelerate blood circulation, improving the nutrition of tissues in the genitourinary system and the pelvic area as a whole.

Gymnastics improves nervous system functionality and increase the tone of patients. Proper exercise therapy allows you to strengthen the muscles of the groin, perineum, thighs and articular tissues. Strong perineal muscles guarantee excellent sexual health and high erectile capabilities. In addition, the regular implementation of therapeutic exercises allows you to get rid of the effects of a hypodynamic lifestyle, as well as eliminate residual inflammatory reactions. The fact that therapeutic exercises are beneficial for the male gland is a proven fact.

Kegel gymnastics

Quite famous complex of physical therapy is Kegel gymnastics. Prevention of the prostate in men is almost impossible without the Kegel complex, which was specifically designed to strengthen the perineal muscle tissue. Initially, these workouts were recommended for women who need help in postpartum recovery. But further practice has shown that for male patients, these exercises are incredibly useful. Detecting these muscles is easy enough. A man just needs to hold a stream during urination. At the same time, the necessary muscle tissue will work, which will need to be further trained.

It is recommended to start training with a delay in urination. First you need to do this, holding the urine for 3-4 seconds, then the muscles need to be relaxed and strained again. In the early days, exercises begin small. You can do about 5 approaches, dividing each urination into 10 contractions. In other words, you need to delay one urination 10 times for 5 seconds each delay. In the first days of the day, you need to do 5 workouts, i.e. 50 exercises per day. Gradually, the number of approaches should be increased to 150 per day.

The Kegel complex also includes another exercise that must be performed once a day. It is necessary to perform swings, standing on the floor. Begin with 30 exercises for each leg. Also, daily jumps of 100 r / d, which can be performed with a skipping rope, will not interfere. Incredibly useful for accelerating blood circulation and bending to the sides, which also help patients cope with excess weight. At least 20 slopes must be made on each side. A similar complex must be done daily, performing each element at least 45 times.

List of preventive exercises for men

Swinging legs, jumping and running, squats and bends - all this has a very positive effect on the blood supply to the pelvic organs and prostate. Especially important is the prevention of prostatic pathologies for men engaged in sedentary activities. Even if the life rhythm does not allow you to exercise in the gym or fitness center, you can always get up from the table and during a break in work, make 30-40 inclines on each side. And to strain the muscles of the prostate, as with urinary retention, you can even sit at work. It is Kegel’s exercises that are considered a lifesaver, because they can be performed almost anywhere - at work, in traffic, in the subway, etc.

But if a man is serious about the prevention of prostatitis, then he is recommended to perform an antiprostatic complex of exercises daily, which will help to successfully prevent inflammation of the prostate or cope with an existing pathology. The main training for the prevention of prostatitis involves performing a set of exercises from a different starting position.

In a sitting position, you can perform a lot of very useful elements for the prevention and even treatment of prostatic tissues.

  1. Slopes. This is a fairly simple gymnastic element, for which you need to sit down, stretching your legs in front, and placing your palms on your ankles. It is necessary to perform forward inclinations, trying to reach the socks with the feet with your fingers.
  2. With a ball. To complete the element, you will need a tennis ball that is laid on the floor and, as it were, hangs over it, with your hands on the floor. You need to place the ball in the crotch and roll it with the pressure of your own body. The emphasis on hands should be gradually relaxed. At first, the man will feel some painful discomfort in the perineum, but over time, the unpleasant feelings during the exercise disappear. Classes continue until the unpleasant discomfort ceases to appear.
  3. Gluteal walking. Also an incredibly useful exercise for prostatic tissue. To perform, you need to sit on the floor, stretching your legs forward. It is necessary to make movements, as if stepping on the buttocks. A day you need to take at least 40-50 such steps back and forth. A similar element allows you to strengthen the pelvic muscles.
  4. We remove the voltage. To do this, rest your palms on the floor, spreading your legs to the sides as far as possible. In fact, you need to try to sit on the transverse twine. In this position, you need to linger for half a minute, then return to its original position.

A set of gymnastic elements can be performed while standing. One effective exercise is the following. You need to get up, straightening your back and legs wide apart. You have to lean forward, resting your face on your left knee and clasping your hands around the ankle of your left leg. Measure in this position for a quarter of a minute, then repeat this with the right foot. For each limb, 10 repetitions must be performed.

Also a good exercise are the tilts of the body to the sides. It is necessary to do daily at least 30 slopes in each direction.

Another effective exercise is to swing your legs forward / backward. For each leg you need to do 100 strokes.

They will help to disperse blood and jumps. You can just jump on the spot or use the rope. You need to start with 50 jumps, eventually bringing their number to 300.

It is useful to stand in a heron pose. To do this, stand on a bent leg, and throw the other over her lower leg. Measure in a similar position for 60 seconds, and then change legs.

Another gymnastic element is this: you have to squat down and gradually get up, while taking your foot to the side. Similar exercises need to be done 10 times on each limb.

Get up, hands down. Gradually bend the knee of the right limb, trying to raise the thigh as high as possible. Similar movements must be carried out with the other leg, so 10 times for each limb.

Belly breathing

A rather effective exercise for prostatic prophylaxis is abdominal breathing. To perform this technique, you need to take the deepest possible breath and inflate your stomach. Hold in a similar state for a quarter of a minute, then draw in the stomach, trying to reach the abdominal wall to the spine. Now exhale as much as possible.

Experts advise to perform such an exercise for prevention and for medicinal purposes. Every day you need to do at least two approaches, each of which involves seven repetitions of breath by the stomach.

Lying on his stomach

One of the most famous gymnastic elements performed on the stomach is considered a boat. The patient should lie on his stomach on the floor, arms extended forward. It is necessary to simultaneously raise straight legs and chest with outstretched arms up. At the maximum high point, a man needs to linger for 15 seconds, then lie down again and relax. Each approach involves three repetitions.

You can perform a similar exercise using fitball. To do this, lie down on the fitball belly and ride on it with the body for half an hour. Exercise is carried out once a day.

Lying on his back

A set of exercises involves gymnastics on the back.

  • Birch. You need to raise your legs up and hold your lower back so that the body is standing strictly upright. Measure for 15-30 seconds. Repeat the exercise 5 times per set, and do two sets per day.
  • It is necessary to bend the legs in the knees and bring them together / raise them. Repeat exercise 11 times. There are two approaches per day.
  • Bend your knees and perform pelvic lifting. Measure at the top for 5 seconds, then descend to and. n. Repeat 6 times a day, do three approaches.
  • Perform alternate lifts of legs bent at the knees, pressing them to the stomach. Repeat the item 5 times for each limb. There are two approaches per day.
  • Perform arching of the back, lifting it above the floor, while the back of the head and buttocks should be pressed to the surface of the floor. By bending the stomach as much as possible, linger for 10 seconds, then take and. n. and relax. Repeat 10 times.

Can prostatitis be cured only with exercise

Therapeutic gymnastics is able to prevent the occurrence of pathology, and with the already existing prostatic inflammation, it can stop its further development, accelerate the onset of a remission period or consolidate the results of treatment. But with the help of gymnastic exercises alone, it is almost impossible to cope with the disease; additional measures will be needed, such as drug therapy and massage, diet and physiotherapeutic procedures.

During rectal massage procedures, blood circulation is activated, blood stasis and prostatic secretion are accelerated. With a course massage, the potency noticeably improves, and the likelihood of developing prostatitis drops to almost zero.

As for gymnastic exercises, it is not necessary to perform all of the above complexes. It is better to pick up a few elements from each complex and perform them daily. Then the prostate will always be healthy.

Sitting

Exercises for the prevention of prostatitis in men in a sitting position are many. Consider the main ones.

  1. We sit on the floor, the back is even, legs are bent apart. We bend forward, trying to reach our toes toes with our fingers.

  1. We put a tennis ball on the floor, sit down so that it is located in the crotch, and roll it with its own weight. To make the exercise easier to perform, we rest our hands on the floor, but gradually we must lean on our hands less and less. Exercise at first causes discomfort, but then it must pass.

  1. Prevention of prostatitis requires strengthening the pelvic muscles. Do this with a gluteal walk. We sit on the floor, stretch our legs forward and "step on the buttocks." For 1 day of such "steps" is carried out 40-50 forward and backward.Video exercises for the prevention of prostatitis will help you understand how to perform it correctly.

  1. We sit down, put our palms on the floor, spread our legs as much as possible, that is, try to sit on the transverse twine. After 30 sec We return to the starting position.

Additional gymnastic exercises

Prevention of prostatitis includes breathing exercises. The main thing is “abdominal breathing”:

  • take a deep breath while inflating your stomach
  • freeze for 12 seconds
  • we draw in the stomach as much as possible and exhale with exertion.

For 1 approach, the exercise is repeated 3 to 7 times.

Exercises for the prevention of prostatitis are quite simple, their implementation does not take much time. At the same time, they help to avoid a long and difficult treatment.

If the disease has already developed, some exercises are not enough, therefore it is preferable not to postpone the start of classes for the future, because men at the age of 20 are at risk.

Kegel Exercise to Quickly Improve Men's Health

With prostatitis, men are often prescribed therapeutic exercises, which helps restore normal functions of the prostate gland. Kegel exercises are common with prostatitis. Thanks to this treatment course, patients achieve great results in therapy.

Prostate function

The prostate gland is the main organ of the male body that is responsible for reproductive functions. The prostate is located in the genitourinary system, the main task of this organ is to ensure the normal secretion of a secret transparent color - this substance is secreted when the man is in an excited state.

Why does the prostate activate secretion? This substance ensures the maintenance of the normal functioning of the organs of the reproductive system, acts as a protective barrier, is a natural, natural lubricant, delivers nutrients to sperm and significantly increases their mobility.

In addition, the prostate gland controls the functioning of the urinary system. The structure of the prostate includes smooth muscles, which control the degree of filling of the bladder and its emptying.

Experts say that the anatomy of the male body provides for the mandatory functioning of the prostate. Otherwise, serious violations may appear, dangerous pathologies will occur. It is important to ensure the proper functioning of the prostate, special sports exercises will be of great help not only during the recovery period, but also as a preventative measure.

With prostatitis, an inflammatory process is diagnosed, as a result of which pathogenic microorganisms, infectious agents of a variable nature, and representatives of the bacterial flora can enter the internal environment of the body through the urethral canal.

If you do not notice the symptoms in time, then the disease can develop into an advanced stage, which entails the formation of a benign or malignant tumor.

Today, there are many methods for the early diagnosis of prostatitis, which allows you to get rid of the causes of the pathology even before the onset of the manifestation of the main symptoms of the disease.

Proper treatment can prevent relapses and completely restore the functioning of the prostate gland.

Kegel Exercises for Prostatitis

In inflammatory processes in the prostate gland, high-quality, effective therapy should include a whole range of therapeutic measures aimed at obtaining a quick and lasting result.

As a rule, doctors do not manage only with medications, but also prescribe physiotherapeutic procedures, therapeutic massages, nutrition correction, and are also advised to perform regular exercises, which are useful for the prostate.

During the rehabilitation period, gymnastics for the prostate gland is always indicated. Kegel exercises are useful as prevention, since they help prevent the development of pathologies of the genitourinary system, keep the prostate toned, and preserve its natural functions.

What are the benefits of Kegel exercises with prostatitis? The following advantages can be distinguished:

  • With regular exercises, the muscle tone of the lower extremities, the press and the gluteal zone is noticeably strengthened,
  • There is stimulation of muscle tissue in the perineum,
  • Blood flow in the pelvis normalizes
  • A beneficial effect on the joints of the hip area,
  • The functioning of the nervous system is supported.

Doctors advise that Kegel exercises be performed as often as possible, not to miss training days. Efficiency completely depends on how often the patient is engaged, how much effort he puts into the process.

However, do not burden yourself with excessive activities. Exercises should not give the patient pain and discomfort, perhaps only a slight tension, which indicates the effectiveness of the training.

Expert Advice

In order to start a course of exercises that can improve the condition of the prostate gland, it is necessary to clearly understand the physiology of the body, to know where this organ is located. There are two main ways to understand where the prostate is:

  1. The prostate gland is palpated between the anus and scrotum. The patient needs to place his finger two centimeters from the anus and carry out a pressing movement, with such manipulations, a round base should be felt, which is the prostate. To make it easier to feel for the gland, doctors advise using this method during sexual intercourse, since at this moment it includes a lot of secretory fluid and is pronounced.
  2. The second method is called "rectal". A finger about 6 centimeters is inserted into the anus and probes the walls of the rectum until a round bulge, which is the prostate gland, is detected.

The course of exercises should be prescribed by the attending doctor, who determines the condition of the patient. Classes are not performed in acute periods when a man suffers from severe pain or experiences severe discomfort in the perineum and anal area.

Gymnastics for chronic prostatitis

Chronic prostatitis is particularly difficult for both physicians and patients. The disease is in an advanced stage, which has passed into the chronicle. Sometimes it proceeds mainly without pronounced symptoms, during the period of exacerbation, pain, discomfort during intercourse, impaired urination, uncharacteristic discharge may appear.

A special set of physical exercises will help alleviate the condition of the patient, restore the functionality of the prostate gland.

The patient must take a “lying” position on his back, arms should be extended along the entire body. The patient needs to lean a little on his feet and begin to bend his knees, it is important to do this very carefully, slowly and smoothly. Legs should be pulled to themselves and at the same time, knees apart. Return to starting position. The exercise is repeated 12 to 16 times.

A man needs to lie on his back on a hard surface, arms extended straight along the body. Bend your knees, bring your feet together. Then you need to stretch your knees to the maximum, perform the movement smoothly and slowly.

Return the lower limbs to their original position, while trying to strain them to the maximum. As a final step, you need to strongly press your knees together, wait 10 seconds.

The exercise is repeated 14-20 times.

The patient needs to lie on his stomach and stretch his arms along the whole body. The right leg bends at the knee, rises upward in slow motion, and also slowly drops down. Do not raise your leg as high as possible, you must monitor the quality of execution. Repeat the exercise 10 times on each leg.

The patient needs to stand up and spread his legs shoulder-width apart. Slow squats are performed (not completely), with the arms brought forward. When the patient returns to the starting position, the legs are not unbent. The most important thing is to perform squats with a small amplitude. Must be repeated 6-8 times.

Congestive Prostatitis - Kegel Exercises

With congestive prostatitis, the doctor prescribes a special set of classes.

This exercise is called "walking on the buttocks", it must be performed on the floor in a sitting position. In turn, the hips rise, the movement is performed in such a way that the executor moves forward. Particular attention should be paid to the technique of execution - it should be competent and smooth, do not rush.

You will need a ball to complete this exercise. The lesson can be performed in two positions (lying, standing). The bottom line is that between the thighs the ball is clamped and held as long as possible.

This exercise has a beneficial effect on the state of the prostate gland, significantly improving blood circulation to this organ.

The essence of the exercise is that you need to pull the lower limbs in weight. The patient should sit on the floor, slightly tilt the body to the back. Legs stretched straight, hands should be on the floor with a strong focus. It is necessary to raise the feet 20 cm up, pull the legs to the chest, bending them at the knees. The exercise is recommended to be repeated 20-25 times.

You should lie on your back, stretch your legs forward. A man should begin to smoothly breed and reduce the limbs of the feet. It is important to start with smooth movements and move at an accelerated pace. Exercise should be performed within a minute.

This exercise is called jumping. When performing it is necessary to maximize pull up the patella. During the jump, the knees should be located on the damage of the chest. In one approach, they perform about 15 jumps, 3 approaches are recommended.

Kegel exercise with prostatitis gives good results only if all the recommendations of the attending physician are followed. This type of therapeutic gymnastics allows you to improve potency, improve the functioning of the genitourinary system, and maintain the muscles of the small pelvis in good shape.

Methodology and its purpose

Some women after labor have weak muscles in the perineum. This significantly reduces the severity of orgasm and provokes involuntary urination.

Gynecologist Arnold Kegel devised and developed special exercises for the female population to control the process of emptying the bladder.

Later it turned out that exercises - pins not only normalize involuntary bowel movements and urination, but also normalize control over the body’s reaction during sexual intercourse.

Today pins It is recommended to use both the male population and the female. They are recommended for women after childbirth, and for men for the prevention and treatment of prostatitis.

Exercises for the prevention of prostatitis in men

A common cause of prostatitis is blood stasis in the tissues of the genitourinary system as a result of a sedentary lifestyle. Due to the deterioration of blood circulation, the supply of oxygen to tissues, including glandular ones, decreases, which leads to the occurrence of inflammatory processes.

Exercise for the prevention of prostatitis in men, if done regularly, helps to avoid stagnation, saturate the tissue with oxygen and prevent the development of prostate diseases. So, what exercises and how to do? We offer our recommendations.

How to Perform Kegel Exercises for Prostatitis and Prostate Adenoma

Gynecologist Arnold Kegel created a set of exercises for women to strengthen the bladder and perineum muscle corset. As it turned out, these classes are useful for men. Kegel exercises with prostatitis help improve blood circulation in the pelvic organs and quickly get rid of the symptoms of the disease. They are part of a set of classes in physiotherapy prescribed by doctors.

Does kegel gymnastics help

  • As a result of the weakening of the perineal muscle corset, there is a deterioration in blood circulation in this area, in addition to erectile dysfunction and urination, this can lead to the appearance of abacterial prostatitis (chronic pelvic pain syndrome) or become a provoking factor for inflammation when bacteria enter.
  • When performing gymnastics, work is done with the pubic-coccygeal muscle, which is responsible for the position of the bladder and prostate and supports the tone of the pelvic organs.
  • Kegel exercises for the prostate are useful in that they contribute to:
  • strengthening the pelvic floor muscle corset,
  • improve blood circulation in the pelvic organs,
  • reduction of swelling of the prostate gland,
  • increase potency
  • increase the duration of sexual intercourse.

Treatment of prostatitis with Kegel exercises accelerates recovery. When taking medications, the implementation of this complex contributes to the rapid spread of drugs to the site of inflammation.

Kegel exercises with prostate adenoma help to cope with a violation of the bladder caused by swelling of the prostate. There is an opportunity to control the process of urination:

  • achieve complete emptying,
  • Avoid urinary incontinence.

Kegel exercises for chronic prostatitis help improve blood circulation and eliminate congestion in the body. This will lead to a decrease in symptoms and an improvement in the effect of therapy, and exacerbations of the disease will occur less often.

They are also useful for the prevention of all diseases of the male genitourinary system, especially with a sedentary lifestyle and the absence of regular sexual intercourse.

Contraindications

Despite the fact that the Kegel complex for men with prostatitis helps to quickly get rid of the symptoms of the disease, its implementation has some contraindications:

  • postoperative period
  • acute phase of the disease (complete rest is necessary during this period),
  • purulent prostatitis (abscess rupture may occur),
  • calculous prostatitis (the presence of stones in the prostate will cause severe pain).

You can not do gymnastics with a full bladder.

If in the first days after the start of the exercise, deterioration is observed or the symptomatology intensifies, they must be stopped.

How to perform a set of exercises

Kegel gymnastics for men with prostatitis can be performed in their free time and anywhere. It consists of movements that are aimed at strengthening the muscle tone of the perineum. They are made by compressive, relaxing and pushing actions.

In order to understand where the pubic-coccygeal muscle is located that needs to be strained, you can experiment:

  • when urinating, try to block the flow of the stream. The muscle that will tighten during the termination of this process is the pubic-coccygeal,
  • during an erection, you can try to produce pendulum movements with the penis.

In order to make sure that the exercises are performed correctly, you need to press your hand on the lower abdomen (just above the pubis). If you feel movement inside, then you are doing everything right.

You can do it several times a day, start with 10 repetitions. Gradually, it is necessary to increase the number of repetitions to 20. A larger number of repetitions is undesirable, this can lead to overwork.

There are several rules that you must adhere to when doing gymnastics:

  1. The main rule in gymnastics is the local work of the pelvic floor muscles. When performing it is impossible to strain the buttocks or abs.
  2. No need to hold your breath.
  3. During exercise, when pulling muscles, you must imagine the load that rises.
  4. Between approaches, you need to take a break for 15-20 seconds in order to avoid overwork.

Kegel charging with prostate adenoma brings its results after some time. In order to feel the effect of the lessons you need to practice every day for at least a month. Since these muscles are no longer involved in any physical activity, the results achieved are quickly lost.

Start lesson

This exercise is considered the initial in the complex. During its implementation, the man begins to understand where the muscle is and learn to work with it. In the future, you can refuse it.

When urinating, periodically stop urine for a few seconds. Frequency 2-3 times in one trip.

Kegel exercises for prostatitis: how they are useful for men, how to perform them and where this technique came from

  • The development of inflammatory processes in the prostate gland can be prevented by adhering to a healthy lifestyle and playing sports.
  • As a preventive measure, it is also recommended to perform gymnastic exercises according to the Kegel technique, which significantly improve the condition of a man in the acute stage of the disease.
  • In this article we will talk in detail on the topic: prostatitis and Kegel exercises.

Where did the technique come from?

During the day, these muscles are practically not involved, therefore, over time, they inevitably lose elasticity.

The consequences of this phenomenon are quite serious:

  • omission of organs
  • urinary incontinence during laughter, sneezing or coughing,
  • inflammatory diseases
  • deterioration in the quality of intimate life.

That is, Kegel did not invent anything from prostatitis. It was on the fight against leakage of urine in women that efforts were directed. Further studies were encouraging: the exercises not only helped get rid of the uncomfortable disease, but also improved the condition of the genitourinary system as a whole.

Gradually, the technique began to be used in the treatment of the stronger sex. Kegel exercises for men with prostatitis proved to be very effective.

Are Kegel exercises useful for prostatitis?

Exercises developed by an American doctor (Kegel exercise for prostatitis) are the best way to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor, because they allow the patient to exercise at any convenient time. You can perform them without prior training, a coach and a specially equipped room.

  1. Features of male and female anatomy determine some differences in the approach to classes.
  2. So, if women work primarily on a group of vaginal muscles, men are advised to train the coccygeal and pubic areas.
  3. Kegel gymnastics for men with prostatitis has an excellent effect on blood circulation, which is very important for people at risk for inflammatory diseases of the prostate gland or already sick.
  4. Watch the Kegel gymnastics exercises in the video:

Training system

For this, it is recommended that patients with a willpower delay urination and remember the sensations at the same time. The zone that was in tension at the time of the delay, and will be subjected to subsequent training.

  • Important: Do not expect quick results: the first improvements come after a few weeks of systematic training, and the long-term effect can be achieved only by hard training.
  • If the sensitivity in this area has disappeared due to the neglect of inflammatory diseases, you can try to find the LK muscle by touch between the anus and scrotum.
  • After the patient manages to learn how to manage this part of the body, start with the simplest exercises:
  1. Learning to control muscle: reduce and try to keep it in this state from 3 to 5 seconds. One approach is ten cuts.

Watch the sensations while visiting the toilet for several days - there should be no pain (this is a kind of marker that the exercise is not performed correctly).

If the reductions are performed correctly, then gradually from one time you can increase the number of approaches to three times a day.

The actions described in exercise No. 1 complicate: change the frequency and intensity of contractions. Tighten the muscle very hard and count to five, then completely relax, also for 5-10 seconds.

There are several such approaches, from 5 times in one approach per day to three approaches of 5-10 voltages. Be sure to check the exercise for pain: they should not be during or after.

Contraction of the gluteal muscles. It is necessary to strain this zone with all the strength, at the same time drawing in the anus to the maximum, and then completely relax.

If you are just starting to master the Kegel technique, then this exercise is enough to do 10 times in one approach. Gradually, when the level of training becomes more complicated, perform this gymnastics up to 50 times in one approach and 4 times a day.

This exercise helps to restore normal blood flow in the pelvic area and improve metabolic processes.

Urinary retention - an effective exercise, which implies a complete stop of the jet for several seconds without leakage of urine. Hold the jet at least five times in one visit to the toilet.

For some men, this exercise helps them to stop ejaculating. In the first days of training, unpleasant sensations in the area of the bladder and ureter are possible, but thanks to systematic exercises, side effects quickly pass.

When the level of muscle ownership of muscle tissue rises, you can try to master the technique of its reduction during an erection. This must be done abruptly and quickly so that the penis "jumps".

Thanks to this skill, men manage to control an erection, prolong the time of sexual intercourse and prevent premature ejaculation.

Important: Drivers, office workers and all occupations that are associated with a sedentary age of life are at risk for prostatitis. Therefore, Kegel gymnastics is especially recommended for people who spend most of the day in the chair.

    Efficiency

    1. Gymnastics should be done for at least a month.
    2. But, correctly performing these simple exercises, without missing days and systematically increasing the intensity, you can significantly speed up the healing process.
    3. Many men notice positive changes after 4-5 weeks of training:
    • muscle tone increases
    • stagnant processes in the pelvic area disappear
    • overall well-being improves - the patient feels a surge of vitality and strength, as it is possible to get rid of the symptoms that bothered for a long time.

Prostatitis and gymnastics are inextricably linked concepts. Together with the main treatment, the set of exercises compiled by Kegel will help not only prevent inflammation of the prostate gland, but also get rid of an unpleasant disease for many years.

    Pathology Features

For a man, the confirmed diagnosis of “oncology of the prostate gland” is a terrible tragedy that many cannot survive without the help of a professional psychologist. This is not only a moral, physical condition, a threat to the life of the patient.

It is extremely important for the stronger sex to feel like a full-fledged man, especially if they are in a relationship with a woman.

Unfortunately, male psychology is structured in such a way that most people are embarrassed to turn to specialized specialists for a thorough diagnosis and competent consultation, and to obtain the necessary recommendations. All these factors lead to the fact that the disease becomes neglected, begins to progress.

Modern technologies are becoming more developed every day, they can cope with various pathologies. Doctors prescribe men to undergo treatment courses, undergo surgery, prescribe hormones.

In almost all clinical situations, prostate cancer does not make itself felt in the very early stages of the development of the disease. A little later, symptoms appear on which a man may not even pay absolutely any attention or write them off to other diseases. Unfortunately, most seek help when it appears:

    • Severe pain syndrome
    • Violation of potency, lack of erection,
    • Severe pain during intercourse,

    Prostatitis Exercises

A set of exercises for the prevention of prostatitis (for the prostate) is aimed at strengthening the muscles of the perineum.

It’s easy to identify them: a man holds up a stream of urine when urinating.

Those muscles (prostate muscles) that work in this case, and you need to train.

    • alternately strain, relax the prostate muscles. The faster the better,
    • we tighten muscles, keep tense for 4 seconds, smoothly relax,
    • smoothly strain the muscles, as with bowel movements. We are relaxing.

In the first lesson of each exercise, repeat eight times. This cycle is repeated five times a day.

Weekly increase the number of repetitions of each exercise in the cycle by four, until we reach 45 repetitions. We do such gymnastics daily, while the problem is relevant.
